ABOUT MOONSHOT

locally-owned, family-run, community-fueled

Since 2016, we've been on a journey to create spaces that anchor people to a place. Tuscaloosa is a transient town and it's our hope that even if you're only here for a season, that it would feel like home. Quality of life can always be traced back to having meaningful relationships and meaningful work. Our hope is that the places we create foster opportunities for deep connection and provide us and our team with purpose and joy.

With our first endeavor, Monarch Espresso Bar (located downtown), our heart was set on simplicity  - craft coffee in an inspiring environment. We wanted to do a few things and do them well -- and most importantly, we wanted to do it all alongside people who care and know how to love.

Tuscaloosa’s Moonshot Creamery + Bottle Shop is born out of that same commitment to simplicity and kindness. Ice cream that's made without cutting corners and wine that's wild, rare and pure. Moonshot is an ice cream parlor and a place to celebrate the mundane and the monumental and located along the Riverwalk, we're the perfect spot to stop on your stroll.

Our ice cream is made with Alabama milk and with all natural and organic ingredients. We keep up to 20 flavors on hand, including two dairy free - all of which can be made into a milkshake. If you or your friend has a dietary restriction, you’re in good hands. We have many gluten-free, egg-free, soy-free, dairy-free, nut-free options that we would love to sample for you. Our ice cream parlor is kid-friendly - as parents ourselves, we know the importance of having spaces that welcome the energy of young children. Bring them on!

For the adults, our wine cave is stocked with fine wines at all price points and features labels you're not going to find anywhere else. We hand-select low-intervention organic wines from small family vineyards.

Our family is devoted to Tuscaloosa and seeing it thrive. Alongside our teams, we're eager to serve you at both of our shops and hope that even in the smallest way, they make you proud to call this place your home.
